sohi09
Hey new fusion owner here, I will need to put some winter shoes on it pretty quickly. It is a 2013 Fusion SE (1.6L) sitting on 235/50R17 all seasons right now. I have a set of 225/55R17 winter tires sitting at home from another car, I was wondering if I would be able to get these to work with no problems? If so, I'd be happy I can just grab a set of steel rims and be on my way!
drolds1
Plugging the two into a tire size comparison table shows that there's an almost insignificant difference in diameter and circumference.
Cswaller5
use tire rack. i got this http://www.tirerack.com/snow/preferredpackages.jspwith TPMS so I can just change it at the end of the season. they handle amazing in snow and on ice, hot asphalt not so much. So I'm using them on my 2013 fusion se eco fwd as an uber select driver and im completely happy. my factory 18" rims ride like crap compared to these and the tires are much cheaper on a 16" rim. I live in Denver and we just got 10" in a few hours. No problems what so ever, occasionally turn off traction control. wider is not better for snow/slush because you get a plow effect, smaller footprint with more rubber on the sides cuts right through. So if anyone wants to buy some 18" with factory sport tread ill be happy to sell them.
MonoxideChild
Id rock them. Shouldnt really be any issue, and that tire size is a better size for a dedicated winter tire anyways.
