daniel327
I need a wiring diagram for an auto dimming rear-view mirror on a 2012 ford fusion SEL. I’m planning on installing a new backup mirror. I figure Blue wire for 12v+ and a black/yellow for 12v-. I also have green which I assume is ground. But I have two blue/light blue wire I don’t know about. I could really use some help. And to be clear the mirrors only feature is auto dimming nothing else. I’ve included pics. Also if anybody can give me the name of 16 pin connector that would be awesome.
eGuru
Pin 1 - Blue - +12V Pin 2 - Green-Brown - Reverse Lamp Pin 3 - Ground Pin 8 - White-Green - Video Camera + Pin 16 - Brown-Violet - Video Camero - The Grey-Blue and Blue-Grey wires are for the compass, which I guess your mirror does not support. Not sure what you are asking about the connector. Best Regards.

Linc
Since this post is about mirrors I have a question. Has anyone opened up a mirror and is it easily done. You see, I have a backup camera and auto-dim and I hate that the sensors for the auto dim are usually hidden in the shadow of the rear deck spoiler so the thing doesn't sim. If you flip it upside down then your problems are gone and it nearly always dims. But then the camera is upside down. I am wondering if you can open it up and flip the screen over.
eGuru
I was looking for the part # of 16 pin connector so I can build my own connector for a new backup camera mirror I want to install. also my pins are pin1 blue pin3 green/brown pin4 yellow/black pin9 blue/grey pin10 grey/blue thank you for helping I'm completely lost. The pinouts I gave were for the Ford mirror supplied for the 2012 Fusion. I think yours must be different. I can't make out enough detail in your photos. Is there a GNTX..... number on the back? Having that would be helpful. btw - looking at the wire colours in your photos, I would say that Pin 3 is Green/Black and Pin 4 is Black/Yellow.
