I like to put plates in at least a cover the back was OK once I found a frame and cover skinny enough to clear the camera but the front only takes 2 screws at bottom and the top just has molded plastic lips for a friction fit any one found a frame and cover that can accommodate this? Looks really tacky at the moment. It's leased so I cant go full bore mod.

OK so I searched the forum and came up with some good idea's from other members.

First lets feed the search engine the problem was front licence plate 2016 fusion, licence plate 2016 fusion no holes.

In my case its a lease so i did not want to start digging into their bumper - for the uninitiated here is the problem

most custom frames come with 4 holes and most folks like to gussy up the front plate where they have to have one by law.

The foundation looks like this (Stock)

Now you will notice on this the 2 tabs at the top which pretty much pee on any chance of a custom frame -

because as mentioned the standard for many area's is 4 hole.

Now you could simply cut the tabs of (Tricky if you leave it on the car pain to take it of first its on rivets).

Or you could build out on washes and adapt a frame or leave a gap (yeah -I know).

And if this does not bother you (did not bother the dealer) read no further (its just a car - right ;) )

Dealer puts plate under bracket 2 self taping screws and off you go.

So first you will need something like this

Then I mounted it on base and put a mark where the tabs where..........................

Now I used a 3 inch saw and a hammer and chisel you may have something more subtle I was in a hurry supper time.

so with a loose fit something like this (not screwed into frame yet)

From there its pretty much take it all apart and star screwing ...............................

Now im not sure about the frame its of my edge which was a lot bigger and

able to absorb bulky design - however now the frame is on the base I can

change frame to something else easy enough.

To me this looks a thousand percent better...........................................................

After

I know its just a car :)
