Updating Sync phonebook

I apologize if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find anything when I searched.

 

Once you have your phone paired with Sync and have downloaded your phone book to Sync, what happens when you make amendments to your phone book? Do changes (additions, deletions, corrections) get downloaded to Sync every time it pairs with your phone, or do you have to manually go to the add/delete/modify options for the Sync phone book?

You have the option of automatic updates or manual updates.

akirby is correct. You have the option to turn automatic download on in the phone settings on SYNC. Which system do you have: owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/all/get-started-with-sync/how-to-identify-your-sync-version.html?model

I have the basic Sync system--no nav or touch screen. This is on a 2012 SEL.

You can follow these steps to re-download your phonebook:

When prompted to turn Automatic Phonebook Download on, scroll until you see NO and press OK.
