Black cars with Chrome Trim

Hi All!

I was curious as to people's opinions of black cars with chrome trim? I think I like the idea of blacking out my 07 Fusion but leaving the trim in chrome. All opinions are welcome and if you have pics please share!

Black and chrome can't go wrong either way - looks classic.

Black on black gets a bit police like for my own taste - bit official or work vehicle.

Black and gold is excellent to - problem with that is gold paints(trim) etc tend to mar easily.

I got Chrome on Grey but the grey dark enough to show contrast.

I started blacking out my 17 SE 1.5L. Changed the grill to an all black honeycomb style and purchased some satin black vinyl wrap. Did the fog light bezels and the rear chrome so far. Debating on going either gloss black or carbon fiber instead of the satin. I added a before and after of the back chrome and the after install of my grill and fog bezels.

Is the bar on the rear bumper naturally satin? I see some like that, and some glossy, but always black?

I like the matt/satin over gloss, makes it look less taped off windows and bombed it glass black. Carbon fiber would probably look okay, I have mocked up my 2012 grille in a grey carbon fiber for the silver car and it looks...boy racer/ricer, but that is more than just small accents.

I tend to not like the murdered out blacked out look, but there isn't much chrome on there and it really doesn't break up the look of the car like some cars with more chrome or chrome along body lines.

The lower rear between the two reflective red lenses is factory like that. I just got the gloss black and carbon vinyl in today. Going to play with it this weekend and see how it looks
