12 V socket

I saw the cool setup in Beethoven's Fusion 'estate' and realized that I needed something similar.

 

However, it had to be implemented in a different fashion since I don't have an estate wagon.

 

Here are some pictures.

The red push-button switch at the top is for switching the voltmeter on only when necessary. I didn't want to have another item with constant battery bleed.

The two breakers at the left are a 15A main and an 8A to protect my trailer wiring electronic module.

 

The location may not be obvious in the picture, but it is in the boot immediately forward of the left hand tail lights.

To start with I was not sure what to do either. But I do remember years ago running some emergency lights directly off the battery with inline fuses so I figured why wouldnt it work the same way for 12v sockets in the Trunk so I wired it up and it seems to work just like I need it too.
