frustratedfordfemale Posted June 21, 2016 Share Posted June 21, 2016 So I have a 2008 that the compressor went out on and I took it to the shop yesterday to FINALLY have it repaired (I live in Fl and it's been out since January). Anyways, the shop tried to replace the compressor, only to find out that the 2 compressors they tried to use that matched my car's vin number, were the incorrect compressors so they had to call around and try to find the compressor that matched the one in the car, rather than searching for it by the model of the car, which was almost an impossible feat. Has anyone come across this problem and maybe knows what's going on with that? The mechanic said he has never come across a problem like this in his 20 year career (so I'm assuming it's just my bad luck) but maybe somebody out there knows why my car is being difficult or if this has happened to anyone else. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
