Year: 2013 Milage: 58K+ 1.6 EcoBoost I heard some people saying that normally at 60K miles a Transmission Tune Up should be done... what is your input guys? Any help will be appreciated.
akirby
Other than what's listed in the maintenance guide in the OM, changing the tranny fluid (not flushing just swapping the fluid) is recommended at 60K. You don't need to drop the pan - the dealer can use a machine to swap out the fluid and it gets 95%+ of the old fluid out using the transmission pump and cooler lines. Brake fluid change is optional but not a bad idea. It's hygroscopic and picks up water over time. The more water the darker it gets. I don't think anything else is really required above the normal fluids and filters as recommended by Ford.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
You can check spark plugs to make sure they are within spec. They should last 100,000 miles (or so Ford says), but not always. Also gives you an idea about the health of the engine. Put in fresh plugs while in there, they are relatively inexpensive.
