i am new here so i am not sure if this has been brought up or not i have a 2007 se v6 with a car starter ran the car for about 10 mins. this morning and found that my km's to empty went down 20 km's is there anything that i can do to get better idle fuel consumpsion?

The distance to empty display is only an approximation, and I've found out that every now and then the trip computer has to update the miles/km to empty, which is based on your last 500 miles/~805 km of driving. That 10 minutes of idling didn't waste any more gas than idling normally does, it's just that when the trip computer recaibrated the miles/km to empty, it compensated for the idling.

It's happened to me before, I was in a Taco Bell drive through and was waiting forever, and decided to turn off the engine. Turned it back on 4 minutes later, and the miles to empty went down by about 40.
