jman7 Posted July 29, 2016 Share Posted July 29, 2016 I bought the 11' sport version and the remote start worked just fine a week ago. Since then, every time I try to remote start it, it honks 3 times. I read the diagnostics and it said that a door should be open. All doors are close and I cant figure out whats going on. eGuru Posted July 29, 2016 Share Posted July 29, 2016 Yes, the LEDs don't allow enough of the small leakage current from the dome light drive circuit (in the 'off' state) to be shunted to ground. This causes the remote start's sense circuit to believe that the dome light is being activated. Solder a small resistor of 2000 to 3900 ohms across the bulb end caps and that should fix it. Alternately, get a LED bulb that is CANBUS compatible. I dislike those because you'll notice that their power draw is exactly the same as the filament bulbs they are replacing - so no energy or heat reduction.
