revsin
I just received ownership of a 2012 Ford Fusion SEL I4 6-speed auto. When driving around in normal city traffic, casually accelerating, the transmission is super smooth. So smooth I can barely tell it's happening. Nice! But being this I4 is a bit under-powered at times, if I give the gas a bit more foot to lets say quickly accelerate across 3 lanes of busy road to get into the turning lane. The shifting isn't as buttery smooth. It never shifts hard, clunks, shakes or anything like that... but rather it feels like an older automatic shifting under hard acceleration. We're not talking about crazy high revs either, but around 3.5-4k and then finally shifts and it feels, well... like I said. An older style automatic. Is this normal for this car? The rest of the shifting at a more relaxed pace is so silky smooth that I question if something may be a miss. New-to-me induced paranoia to be sure, but want the peace of mind ya know?

revsin
74k miles. Unknown at this moment if the fluid has been changed, certified preowned so should be I think but can't say definitively right now.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
MAF sensor cleaning, TB cleaning, spark plug check/change and in-tank fuel injector cleaner would be possible "remedies". Sometimes a trans problem isn't a trans problem.
