2017 Ford Fusion Sport Specs Clarification???

hey all, I am new to this forum, I just had one quick question that I hope you can help me with.

I am looking at buying a new car in the next few months. I have the new Ford Fusion sport in my sights as an option. I am just a little confused about how much power it produces. Any help clarifying would be great.

If you look at this link here: http://www.ford.com/cars/fusion/specifications/engine/

It shows it as 325HP and 380TQ

But then when you look at any of the car reviewer sites they all say that the car has 325HP and only 350TQ. I am not sure which one to believe. I would be significantly happier if the specs on the ford page were the correct ones. But I almost feel like it is a typo, since everyone else says it has 350.

Anyone know on this for sure?

Edit: sorry I messed up the title, it is supposed to say 2017.

350 was the preliminary number that Ford released in January an an "up to" figure. Up to 325 hp and 350 lb/ft. But the Ford website clearly says 380. So the ones saying 350 could simply be using the preliminary number from the January press release.

Considering the MKZ's 3.0T is only 400 lb/ft on 93 octane, I'm leaning towards 350 on regular but it is confusing.

I would run premium in my car if I got one. Not sure how much of a difference that would make if any.

Also how does this car compare to a Golf R/Audi s3, in your opinion. That's the other car at the top of my list that I am trying to decide between.

I don't know the other vehicles that well but I'm pretty sure the Fusion is a lot larger - more A6 size. And it has way more power. The larger Fusion may not handle quite as well due to the extra size and weight - but Fusion does get dunamically controlled suspension which may make up for it to some degree. It may also have more features that aren't available on the vm/audi.

I think you can accept the 380 lb-ft figure with confidence. As the others have said, the 350 number was preliminary. Ford has done kind of underestimating preliminary power figures in the past. That way, no one can complain when the published figures are higher.

Manufacturers, including Ford, have been sued in the past when it was discovered that the advertised figures turned out to be inaccurate. Ford probably still remembers the 1999 SVT Cobra HP debacle.

Lastly, this engine is rated at 375 lb-ft in the F-150. I think 380 is the correct figure.
