corpflyboy
2014 Fusion Titanium Along the perimeter of the front windshield from about 1-2mm from the edge, there are tiny bubbles that will not disappear or fade away in dry conditions. It doesn't matter if it is hot or cold. I tried wedging a microfiber rag in the small crevice to see if it is a liquid and try to soak it up to no avail. It is very noticeable. It seems that the windshield is delaminating somewhat and causing this issue. No, it doesn't interfere with my driving, but is an eyesore when viewed from the outside. Has anyone else had this occur? I cant seem to find much information other than large bubbles in the middle of the windshield from older model fords that are not fusions. I guess the next oil change at the dealership will clue me in while its still under warranty. http://www.glassbytes.com/2014/01/nhtsa-and-ford-recall-vehicles-for-windshield-bubbling/ Im out of town without my trusty steed today. I will try to get a picture or two to show what I am talking about this week. Buzz Edited September 21, 2016 by corpflyboy

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Do you know if your Fusion has a laminated windshield? e.g. a "Soundscreen" equipped windshield?
drolds1
Fusions have had acoustically laminated windshields as OE since 2010.
akirby
All windshields are laminated, even those without "soundscreen".
timwil56
I don't know if it's the manufacturing design, the nature of the materials, or an inferior product, but I think Ford windshield are extremely soft and chip very easily. I already have a pin head sized chip on my 2017 Fusion. I'm not too worried because of no deductible, full glass insurance, but I would rather keep the original glass in the car. I've changed two windshields in less than 5 years.

I've changed two windshields in less than 5 years. I've seen complaints of easily chipped/cracked windshields across all mfrs. Auto glass has gotten thinner over the years as a result of all-out efforts to save weight.
