letsgobuffalo12
So I bought some rims off of Craigslist that were listed as 5x108 coming off a Focus. I went to have them put on my '13 Fusion Titanium at Mavis Tire. Much to my dismay they were off just slightly that they wouldn't go on the lugs. Any idea why this would be? I guess I'm just going to sell them and try again? I've got the 19's on there now and these are 16", for the winter. Open to suggestions! Thanks in advance.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
If they are off just slightly, you could carefully enlarge the openings just a tad. They would become a bit oval compared to round when done. Maybe just need to do 1 and the rest will fit without modification.
eGuru
Its probably because the Focus lugs are M12 versus the Fusion at M14. So you would need to enlarge all the holes. Get rid of those Focus wheels.
FernMTL
I've Focus ST wheels on my '14 Fusion. Fits like a charm. You bought steelies?
letsgobuffalo12
I've Focus ST wheels on my '14 Fusion. Fits like a charm. You bought steelies? Yes, bought steel rims. I probably should have tried them out before I bought them but got them at a good price mounted with sensors and everything. Tires are just so expensive for the 19" rims, I wanted to get a 16" for the winter months. Thanks for your help everyone. I guess I'll just re-list them and/or take them to my local mechanic to see what he thinks.
letsgobuffalo12
Just to follow up on this; i found out the reason they didn't fit. The person who sold them to me had the bolt pattern incorrect. The pattern is 5 on 4 1/2". I ended up going to ebay and buying a set (verified Fusion Titanium rims!!) for $200 then either swap these tires over or get new ones (depends if i can sell them as a set or not). Thanks everyone for your replies!
