nweeks24
Hey everyone, I am about to ship my vehicle from overseas to the states and they are requesting my locking lug nut key for my 2014 fusion. Does anyone know where this might be kept at all. I think i found it back with my spare tire but it doesn't look like any lug nut key i have ever seen before. Any help is greatly appreciated.
eGuru
Locking lug nuts are supplied by the dealerships so there would probably not be a standard location for storing the key (although on top of the spare was my favourite location). I think they are a waste of money and don't deter theft, so have removed mine as they are just a pain. They usually strip after a few tire changes - especially if you swap tires twice a year for the summer/winter ritual. What does your key look like?
nweeks24
ok i have what appears to be the lug nut key by the spare i just wanted to make sure that it was supposed to be supplied by the dealer and not something i had to buy extra. I have honestly never used it but the shipping company says its a requirement to ship my vehicle overseas. Thanks for the help.
