Bconrad
I saw a thread about this and read through it. My problem is similar, but not the same and I thought I would start a new topic. My 2015 Fusion has developed a stalling issue in the last couple of weeks. It has happened 3 or 4 times, almost always when on an exit ramp from a highway. In other words, slowing down from highway speeds. It has never happened just in the middle of driving down the road, as some have reported. One time, I stopped for gas and when I returned to the car, it stalled immediately after starting. In all cases, it starts again after a few minutes and several attempts at starting. I get no error message of any kind and there is no check engine light coming on. I took it to a dealer and they said they can't get any codes out of it to do the diagnosis and can't duplicate the problem. I totally get the problem the dealer is having as this is a very random issue and after it happens, it will run for days as perfectly as it can. On the other hand, I feel very nervous driving it every day wondering if it will die and where. Can anyone shed any light on this at all? I love the car and will take a decent loss in a trade in (I drive a LOT of miles), but I also don't like rolling the dice every day. Thanks!
JetFixxxer
Mine did the say thing. They replaced the purge valve and seems to have solved the issue.
