meggy792
My 2012 ford fusion has 114,000 miles on it. It recently started making a low "humming" noise after high speeds. The car will start up fine and act normal but after I get off the highway and park my car, I can hear it humming. (it's not the tires because it's coming from the engine.) It's also is accompanied with a slight vibration near the air filter. I live in Florida so it gets very hot, which makes it act worse. When it's in park, cooling down, the humming gets less and less noticeable, eventually stopping all together after a few minutes. All the fluids are changed and I also recently replaced the idler pulley. Sorry if this is in the wrong topic, I'm new to the forum. If anyone has an idea as to what might be wrong, that would greatly help. I'm at loss! Edited January 17, 2017 by meggy792
akirby
I believe it runs the cooling fans if necessary after the ignition is turned off.
