Fision
I live in Alaska and sooner or later need a tug to get my 2007 fusion to a point where it has traction. As far as I can find, there is no anchor point to attach a strap to, front or rear. Am I (hopefully) wrong? Is there a dedicated anchor point on these? Where?
andyross
I'd assume there should be some shipping anchor or tie-down points. Didn't see any obvious mention in my manual doing a quick check. Might be buried somewhere in there.
Fision
Thanks for checking. I've looked several times underneath the car, without success. Of course, half the time I can't find the milk jug sitting at eye level in the fridge either; so it seemed a good idea to throw the question out to more knowledgeable folk before giving up.
hermans
The cars come from the factory with tie down anchors points (for lack of a better term. They are on all four corners of the car and the dealer is supposed to remove them at delivery. I've had two Fords where the dealer forgot to remove them and I just left them on. These are closed loop anchors that would work. My '99 Taurus had them and came in handy when I buried it in the snow, Tow driver just used one to pull it out of the snow. I would think a dealer would be able to help you out. The anchors are used to tie the cars down during transport. Hope this helps.
Fision
Thanks! I'll try to get my hands on some of those.
