Arma
Hello, I have a check engine light producing two codes: P0141 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit ( Bank 1 Sensor 2) P0054 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Resistance I am having a hard time finding any repair manuals or guides to replacing the sensor efficiently without disassembling too much of the intake assembly covering the whole back. I figured out that the sensor is before the Cat Converter as it is sensor 2. But I am not sure if the O2 heater circuit has a fuse associated before I directly go to replace the part. I would like to know if there is a fuse and if so, what fuse is it? Also how long would it approximately take and what would be a reasonable cost to repair at a shop that isn't a dealership? The Ford dealership is wanting to charge $386 with parts plus labor. Thank you,
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Sensor 2 is AFTER the catalytic converter, regardless of which bank it is on. In your case with a 4banger, only one Bank to deal with, thankfully Yes, there should be a fuse associated with it. You may also want to check the wiring to make sure it hasn't become dirty/contaminated over time or gnawed through by rodents etc. Looks like Fuse 8 in the battery junction box (fusebox in engine compartment) Mass Airflow / Intake Air Temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor, EVAP purge valve, EVAP canister vent valve, Evaporative Emission (EVAP) purge valve Variable Camshaft Timing 12 (VCT12) solenoid, Variable Camshaft Timing 11 (VCT11) solenoid, Heated Oxygen Sensors (HO2S), Variable Camshaft Timing 11 (VCT11) solenoid (2.5L) Variable Camshaft Timing 21 (VCT21) solenoid (3.7L), Variable Camshaft Timing 22 (VCT22) solenoid (3.7L), Universal Heated Oxygen Sensors (HO2S), EGR stepper motor (2.5L) Seems like a fuse would affect many more things, but worth a look.
