CrazyChase
I'm currently shopping for new tires for my 2007 Fusion SEL, tire specs P225/50R17. I've done some online research but I would also like some feedback from fellow Fusion owners. I am looking for new all-season tires for my car, but since I live in Michigan I have to deal with snow and ice on the roads. I'm willing to prioritize good handling in snow and ice conditions over road noise and fuel economy. Based off my online research the following tires pop up as having the most favorable reviews (listed alphabetically): BFGoodrich Advantage T/A Sport Continental PureContact with Ecoplus Technology Firestone Champion Fuel Fighter Michelin Premier A/S Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus For those of you who have experience with these tires, which would you recommend and why? Or if there is a different tire you would recommend, which one and why? Any feedback would be appreciated.
akirby
I've had both the Contis and Michelins and both are great.

Oracle_Ed
I like the Michelin Defenders. They have a very quiet ride, excellent tread life.
sirtanon
While I have the 2010 and you have a 2007, I believe both years share essentially the same undercarriage.. I put Cooper RS3-A tires on my car about a year ago, and they've been awesome. For just a little more, you could go with Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring and get an excellent all-around tire with great tread life and awesome reviews. Great rebates and discounts right now as well.
andyross
I see you live in Chicago. How would you say the Pirelli's handle snow and icy conditions? Hard to directly say as I have been working from home the past few years, and haven't driven all that often in the snow. Still, they seemed quite good. The previous tires (factory Michelin MXV4 S8 Energy) had a little over 30K when I replaced them, and I think the Pirelli's are much better than somewhat worn tires would seem. I think I mainly replaced them as they were starting to leak.
