timwil56
This 2018 Order Guide was posted on BOF. The Platinum is not included in the Model/Series/Availability list, but is still available. A few minor changes to the SE feature and packages: 17" wheels went from Luster Nickel to Sparkle Silver, no more chrome fog light inserts and low gloss front lower trim, but not any other changes. 2018 Fusion Order Guide.pdf

zip89105
Bummer. The SE appearance package gets ugly dark wheels.
akirby
Bummer. The SE appearance package gets ugly dark wheels. They aren't that dark and I think they look great. These are the dark stainless titanium wheels.
Frank F
Platinum trim no longer? It's still there, just not listed in the model/series/availability. Edited March 31, 2017 by Frank F

Turbotim88
Any idea when the dealers can start taking orders for the 2018 Fusion?
Frank F
Glove Box Light has been removed from S and SE (Gas and HEV) — Illuminicated Glove Box has been added to V6 Sport and Titanium (Gas and HEV) — Rear Console Vents now tied to DEATC only ● Deleted: — Rear Floor mats have been deleted on SE (Gas and HEV) and Titanium 1. What is DEATC? 2. Rear floor mats will still be available as an option? Just not standard? Edited: Premium Front and Rear Floor Mats with Trunk Mat 12C -- looks like to get rear carpeted mats, one needs to upgrade to premium (carpeted) mats. Or go with: All-Weather Front and Rear Floor Mats 55M - all weather mats. Edited April 6, 2017 by Frank F
andyross
I'm guessing DEATC is the automatic climate control?

timwil56
It's Dual Electronic Automatic Temperature Control. From BOF: 7/21/17 2017MY Job Last date 5/15/17 2018MY Order Bank Opens 6/15/17 2018MY Scheduling Begins 7/24/17 2018MY Job 1 Date
idigthefusion
Sorry, may be dumb question but I'm new here. With 7/24 as 2018MY Job 1, does that mean the 2018 cars will hit dealers about the second week of August? Trying to decide to wait until the new ones come out or buy a 2017. Doesn't seem like much of a change for the 2018's. I'm looking for an SE. Also hoping for some larger 2017 incentives before they clear out. I know they change monthly.

Doesn't seem like much of a change for the 2018's. I'm looking for an SE. Also hoping for some larger 2017 incentives before they clear out. I know they change monthly. The date cars begin showing up on lots depends on many factors, how many customer pre-orders are in the bank, when the cars are released from the plant after the OK to Buy, dealer allocation and when those are shipped to specific dealerships, parts availability, shipping issues among other factors. It appears some features are being eliminated from the SE line, so if those are important to you, I would purchase a 2017. There are already nice incentives out there from Ford and dealerships will likely add more to move inventory, so you can wait to see what's available on dealer lots in July, but if you want specific features and options, I would order a 2017 before the last job date. The car I ordered in March 2016 goes for $3000 less with the current incentives from Ford and I'm very pleased with the options and features I have. akirby
Am I the only one disappointed that it looks exactly like the 2013s? If you currently own a 2013-2016 and are looking to trade-in or returning a lease, would you get another Fusion?

I was always planning on getting a new Sport (Ever since the rumors first came out for 2017), but it does bother me that so many similar looking Fusions are out there. It made me take a good look at the new MKZ, and I recently had one for 3 days (Lincoln Weekend Date Night), and loved it. andyross
Odd. Why does the 1.5L with automatic stop/start have LOWER mileage ratings than the regular version?
akirby
Odd. Why does the 1.5L with automatic stop/start have LOWER mileage ratings than the regular version? I'm sure that's only available on higher end models with more equipment and therefore more weight.
ottav
Two things: 1.) 2018's don't get B&O Play radios? Still Sony? 2.) Any word on when Fusions will get the 9-speed automatic transmission? 2019, or perhaps they will wait for the next total redesign?
Turbotim88
Wasn't there a site you could access to follow the progress of your ordered car? Can't seem to find it. I have a VIN# if that's required. Thanks
akirby
cotus.ford.com but I don't know if it actually works or not - seems like it started as a beta and was never finished, but won't hurt to try it. Your dealer has access to all the information that's available on your order but you may have to convince them to go get it for you.

coolharts
I have ordered a blue 2018 SE with the sport package, sync touch screen and navigation. We are keeping our ginger ale 2013 SE, we will be a 2 Fusion family. It is due in Jan or Feb 2018.
