Goneracin
I have a 2014 Fusion SE, and I love it. However, about 50% of the time, when I get in the car, I notice the mirrors have moved. I try to push the 1 button for the memory, and they just start going up, then left, then down then right......... then eventually stop in a different position. I have re programed the presets, and this does nothing. If only one mirror moved by it self, and I push a memory button, the seat and other mirror will go to the preset, but the mirror that moved while I was gone goes crazy. To make matters worse, now the seat has occasionally stopped moving forward after getting in the car. This makes it even worse since the car is a manual, and we all know how you have muscle memory based on where you keep your seat. Does anyone have any insite on this? Any diagnostic tips or hints? Im about to bring the car into the dealer, but really dont want to spend a ton of money chasing this thing. Its becoming a safety issue if I dont notice, get out on the road, and go to change lanes only to find the mirror worthless! Thanks in advance for any help.
timwil56
From the 2014 owner's manual it lists fuse #2 for memory mirrors, try pulling that fuse for a couple of minutes to see if that resets it.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Assuming it is not a fuse issue, then I would look into replacing the motors for the mirrors. I believe the motor is available & replaceable as a separate piece, but don't quote me on that LOL.

Since the OP is also mentioning problems with seat positioning, I would think it is a controller or cabling issue that are impacting both sub-systems.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Yup, saw that. I was providing addn't info in case the "normal" diags did not work out.
hermans
I had the mirror problem (driver's side only) shortly after delivery of my 2013 FFH. The dealer was told by the Ford rep. that the fix was to replace the mirror. Fixed under warranty and not further issue with up until the time I sold it.
Goneracin
Thanks for the input everyone. It still seems to have weeks where it does it every time I cycle the ignition key, then it will be fine for weeks. Of course every time I bring it to the dealer I cant get it to replicate the problem. The seats dont seem to be much of a problem, if I push the memory button they will go back to normal. I think they sometimes dont move forward because I start the car with the door open, or some unrelated issue. The mirrors move while Im out of the car, thats the odd part. I will look into mirror motor replacment, and let you know what I find out. Thanks again
