I need some help. Let's say I want to work on my car. I'm I stuck using a scissors jack? I could jack it up using my hydraulic jack and an adapter but then where do I place a jack stand? I really don't trust my jack...If it fails then I'm dead. Thoughts? Any suggestions for an easy to use scissors jack?

I use one of these along the pinch weld: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-ea-Universal-RED-Floor-Jack-Disk-Pad-Adapter-for-Pinch-Weld-Side-JACKPAD-/231461452946?hash=item35e42d7c92:g:k44AAOSwezVWtxIA with the jack of course.

Then use a jack stand under the front cross-member -- not exactly sure where, but I believe near where A arm pivots on frame.
