Auto Lock Disabel

Recommended Posts

I have a 2017 Fusion Hybrid and I cannot disable the auto lock feature. Ford says it is a regional feature, but at my dealer, some of the Fusion's can disable the feature and others, like mine cannot. My old Focus had a "work around" to disable auto lock. Does any any one have a "hack" that will allow me to disable auto lock? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Have you checked your owners manual? If it can be done, it will be there.

Apparently, he's got one of these:

Autolock is not configurable in all markets. If the autolock settings are not available in your information display, then the system is not configurable.See General Information.

OK, I'm baffled. Anybody have any idea why Autolock would not be configurable in certain markets?

So am I. At my Ford dealer, there are Fusion's with the auto lock disable listed in the drop down menu and others, like mine, that do not have the drop down auto lock selection.

I know this is 2 years old now, but I am having the same issue with my 2018 Fusion Hybrid, and I wondered if anyone ever found a solution for this?  The thing is, when I first got my Fusion, I am 100% certain that the Vehicle->Lock menu contained functions to disable AutoLock and AutoUnlock.  I scrolled through the ENTIRE Setup menu the day I brought it home, and they were there.  After a week or so, and reading in the Owner's Manual about all the setup options, I went to the car to turn off AutoLock, and that menu item was GONE!!! (although AutoUNLock is still there)  So... it's not some initial setting of the car.  As for JayFusion's comment about some cars on the lot having that setting and some not - is it possible that the cars without that option have more miles on them, and maybe that option only appears for the first X miles, then disappears?  Is something like that even possible?

I'm still trying to figure out how to disable AutoLock on my vehicle......
