Bret Cummins
Does anyone happen to know if the 2010-2012 Ford Fusion gauge cluster is interchangeable with the 2006-2009 gauge cluster?

Bret Cummins
If not, is there anyway I can make it possible. They seem like the same size and I just noticed the plug is a different shape

drolds1
Even if you could somehow make it work, there are important functions in these cars that are controlled through the IC and are programmed to that specific car and VIN. You can't even swap one in from the same MY without reprogramming via Ford IDS. The car will never start with an IC from another car. I doubt that any dealer would even attempt to try it. You'd have to be quite savvy with IDS and maybe ForScan, or find someone who is.
nForrest
I would think there would be an issue with the odometer. This gets into legal issues.
akirby
I would think there would be an issue with the odometer. This gets into legal issues. The dealer has to download the old cluster info including the odometer and upload it to the new cluster along with the other vehicle specific information.
