HiGONRG
Hi everybody, I'm new to the Forum. I have a 2015 Fusion Hybrid and I'd like to get some new 17" wheels to replace my dinged up, ugly painted silver wheels that came from the factory. Does anybody know if there are specific wheels made by Ford that are indicated for use in a HYBRID? I'm thinking hybrid wheels would need to be lighter or have a different offset than a standard Fusion wheel. Finally, any recommendations for a rim, by Ford or otherwise, that would fit my hybrid and not suffer from dings and scrapes the way the painted rims do? Thanks for any light you can shed!
akirby
Nothing special - use any wheel that fits although heavier wheels may reduce mpg. Unfortunately no wheels are immune to curb rash.
ClaveMan
Might be an excellent time to consider "take off" wheels. "Take off wheels" come from new cars where the new owner, for some reason, wanted other wheels from the get go and "dumped" their brand new wheels (and tires) from the factory. This company in Detroit specializes in hooking people up with (or buying/brokering) take off wheels and tires. Might be a source for you..
