ClaveMan
A coworker bought a Tesla Model S recently. He and his wife LOVE their new car. So.. he gets dropped off by the wife this morning and she heads to work. He gets a call.. Him: "My wife called. She locked herself out of the car. I have the key fob". Me: "That's the new Tesla S?" Him. Yeah.. I was able to use this cool Tesla app on my phone to unlock her car from here!". Me. "Yeah my Ford Fusion does that. I can unlock my car in Portland, Maine from Portland Washington" Him.. "Oh?" Me "Yeah. If my Fusion is running and someone tries to walk away with the key fob in their pocket (like you did), the horn starts honking. Why doesn't the Tesla S do that?" Him.. "uhh.." Me "Oh.. if she had a Ford Fusion she could also touch the drivers door pillar to activate the invisible key pad. Enter your PIN and your doors unlock - without a key or fob." Him "uhh.." A little shopping (MSRP only -- no price talk on the forum!).. I'll stick with my Ford Fusion thank you.. 2017 Ford Fusion SE MSRP $24,125 (including delivery) S Trim includes Keyless entry key fob SE Trim adds SecuriCode keyless entry keypad or (he admitted to getting the Full Self Driving Package) 2017 Tesla Model S MSRP $78,700 (including delivery, not including $7,500 tax credit) includes packages Enhanced Autopilot Full Self-Driving Capability I don't know if he got the $3500 premium upgrade package with the "Bio-Weapon Defense Mode" air filter.
BlueKoda
I'll be honest, I love my fusion, but it doesn't even really compete with a model s. 17“ touch screen, free cellular connection for life, and 0-60 in a potential 2.3 seconds, yes please.

It's also $70K cheaper than a model S.
