Jday
Good afternoon I found on the passenger side lower control arm make a green gel substance all over the top of the control arm under the serpentine belt area does anybody have any ideas of what this can be caused from
drolds1
Check your CV joint boots for tears or splits, which would allow grease to leak out onto the control arm.

Jday
Is it difficult to replace this if it is the problem?
drolds1
Based on this one picture, it's too high up on the engine to be a leaking CV joint. If it's accumulated on the suspension control arm, then it must have come from above. Maybe it's a coolant leak. The question is where it's actually coming from. That's difficult to do over the Internet.
Jday
The antifreeze is orange in the vehicle but here's a different picture of the upper control arm that the grease is on
drolds1
I still can't really tell from the picture but I also still think that you have a coolant leak and that you may have a mix of incompatible coolants in your system. Are you the original owner of this car? When was the coolant last changed? Was coolant added? Is it possible that someone put the wrong coolant in? The 2006 Fusion did not use orange coolant. The owner's manual calls for Motorcraft Premium Gold coolant. Orange is specifically prohibited: Add Motorcraft Premium Gold Engine Coolant or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSS-M97B51-A1. Refer to Lubricant specifications in this chapter • Do not add/mix an orange-colored, extended life coolant such as Motorcraft Specialty Orange Engine Coolant, meeting Ford specification WSS-M97B44-D, with the factory-filled coolant. Mixing Motorcraft Specialty Orange Engine Coolant or any orange-colored extended life product with your factory filled coolant can result in degraded corrosion protection The reason I bring this up is that two incompatible coolants can form a gel-like substance and that may be what you're seeing as a result of a leak. I think it's time for a professional diagnosis.
