Bryson Dahlin
Hey everyone! So I just made my first big purchase for my 2014 Ford Fusion. I bought Pegasus Lexani 20' rims for her! I've done some research around it and I figured I would also just ask some general questions for all of you who are more knowledgeable than me. 1. What are some general concerns and some things I should know with 20 inch rims on my car? 2. Any recommendations on some low-profile tires for the 20' rims? 3. I know the rim size change will affect my speedometer (I believe it will read ~5-10mph faster than what I'm actually going) Is there anyway to change that? I would appreciate some general info or anything you guys have to offer! Thanks for the help everyone, ~ Bryson Dahlin
Oracle_Ed
The dealer can use IDS to reprogram the PCM to compensate for the diameter difference.
fusionff
The wheel (or rim) size will not change the speedometer readout, it's the overall tire size that will affect the speedometer. So you will obviously have a lower profile tire size with a 20" wheel, and the tire size will be closer to the stock tire diameter. The 20" tire size that you can fit on your Fusion will depend on the new wheel width and offset. So there will be minimal overall change in tire diameter size that will affect the speedometer.
Oracle_Ed
235/40/R20 will fit and they are 6% larger diameter than the stock tires.
