Can't say that I've read it over there either too.
FusionDiffusion
Boy, that sure sounds like a bad bearing or gear that isn't engaging correctly in one of the motors or planetary gear assembly. Any updates?
lolder
The gears never change their engagement or shift. Obviously a case for a Ford Dealer.
elrodcarrera
I had the same problem with my 2014 Fusion Hybrid SE. It turned out to be a bad bearing on the generator for the hybrid batteries. It only would do it when charging the batteries. The local dealership (Maxwell Ford in Austin Tx.) told me the parts were obsolete and I would have to put a new transmission in the car. I had an extended warranty on the car (100,000 mile) but the mileage at the time of the diagnosis was 109,500. I called Ford Customer Care to try and convince them that this is a known issue with the 2014-2015 and part of 2016 Hybrids and that Ford should take care of it. That was declined. Three weeks and $7100.00 later I have my car back. If anyone reading this forum has the same issue, I suggest taking it to Ford and having it repaired as soon as possible if it is still under warranty. I won't buy another Ford!
