2017 Fusion Titanium Hybrid

I just bought a used 2017 fusion titanium hybrid today with 34k miles black on black and had a few questions. Upgraded from a basic 2010 fusion hybrid with 195k miles.

It has sync 3 but doesn't show navigation... is there anyway to add it or display my Waze or Maps app through my android phone onto the screen ?

Also i have heated seats but is there anyway to add cooled seats ?

And i want to upgrade the 12volt battery to a better one like Motorcraft Max or any other suggestions for a long lasting battery ?

Last but not least what are the exact original tires that come on this model stock ?? I have the nice 18" rims with goodyear tires in front and some other brand in back with plenty thread. My 2010 had Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires stock. Excellent fuel economy tires. I want the same quality tires for this car too

Regarding the 12 volt battery, I had to replace my original battery at 111,679 miles.   I had the dealer put in the same battery which cost $146.17 installed with tax.  I had no issues with the battery up to that point, and was even able to drive it to the dealer, after a final charge to the original battery,  just to get it started.  What is your expectation of a better battery?

As a retired automotive engineer, with no experience on cooled seats, I will  speculate that adding cooled seats as an after market upgrade will be very difficult and expensive.  Just a guess.  Same for adding navigation.  But I am eager to hear comments from people with more experience with both upgrades.

I'm not familiar with Sync 3, but if Sync 3 has the Android Auto function in your menus, that will allow Waze or google maps to project onto your display.   At least my newer Chevrolet has that feature.

More here for IoS :  https://techcrunch.com/2018/02/26/ford-adds-waze-to-its-sync-3-applink-for-ios-users/

You can never go wrong with Michelin IMO.

You should have Android Auto capability - just enable it in the menus and plug the phone in via USB.  Waze and google maps are both supported.  If you don't have the latest Sync 3 software (3.0 just came out) you can upgrade via a usb drive at owner.ford.com.

There are ways to add Navigation but since it's technically illegal and no different than copying software that you didn't pay for I'm not going to provide any links.  You'll have to google it.   The F150 forums have a lot of information.

I just read that many people having their 12 volt battery died very fast and the 2017 Fusion Hybrid but I think they got some kind of update and then it helped so the battery wouldn't die as quick. I just thought the Motorcraft Max will be a stronger battery then the stock one since I've had them and other Fords in the past and last very long from my experience. But if you're saying it's the exact same battery there's no point of me even spending the money. I didn't want an Interstate battery from Costco but they don't make my size for this car

Thanks for the info on the sync 3 I haven't had enough time to play with it I'm sure I will I did connect my phone to it bluetooth way though and push add apps and nothing would pop up for my phone maybe the wired way will work and I probably have to physically set it up online and update with a laptop my sync 3 account I'll research into it thank you again for the link.

If I can add my Waze app to the display rather do that then pay for navigation it's a great app in my opinion hasn't done me wrong yet. I'll look into doing that if not i will pay for the navigation. Yeah  the Michelin tires have been very great on my last car with fuel efficiency and ride comfort. Thanks again guys for all your help I appreciate it

Well you can't pay for Navigation because Ford doesn't sell it as an aftermarket add-on, but using Waze or Google Maps is your best option anyway.   You can use both with Android Auto and once you have sync 3 3.0 and Waze updates their app you can use it without Android Audio via applink.

Perfect. I was looking at it today and it says it has an update available on my sync 3 so I got to figure out how to update it. Does anybody know if the K&N air filter works great on the hybrid or should I stick with the stock one for better fuel economy ?? I  didn't know they made one for the hybrid. I thought It had a lifetime air filter like the 2010 hybrid I had
