I upgrade to the latest version of SYNC with MyFord (NOT MyFord Touch), and the Siri functionality was broken in this release. It makes it a bit of a pain as siri used to just come right through the speakers before but now, I have to mess with iphone settings in order to get siri to work... which saves me from interacting with my phone while driving. Anybody else have this issue? alcohenusa Posted May 13, 2018 Share Posted May 13, 2018 (edited) Is it version 4.6 that you have now? The same thing happened to me on both my 2013 Edge and 2011 Mariner. It is possible to roll back but you must have the old downloaded files. I rolled back both my vehicles to 4.4 with no problems. Though, Ford will tell you that it is not possible to roll back. If you have the old files then give it a try. If not, you may be able to find them online somewhere. I have the 4.4 files for the 2013 Edge with My Ford. Cannot guarantee it will work with the Fusion. I'd share the files with you if you want them, but using it is at your own risk. Can you share the v4.4 files you mentioned? i did find one article saying Sync is Sync and it doesn’t change vehicle to vehicle. alcohenusa Posted June 19, 2018 Share Posted June 19, 2018 Sorry to hear that. Those are the same files I used for my 2013 Edge. I guess you could try a master reset before trying again. Of course, if it fails you deleted all your settings for nothing. I wanted to update to turn off the 911 assist prompt and not automatically selecting last input method if it was Bluetooth. 4.6 did all that, but broke voice commands. I googled for the Sync 4.4 files and found them. Only issue I have now is that my car says "bluedooth audio" which is annoying but functionally much better. Yeah I agree with that for sure. My annoyance with the Bluetooth Audio text on the screen is far less than not being able to use my phone's assistant to help me with things while I'm driving because Sync is useless. mvan231 Posted December 15, 2018 Author Share Posted December 15, 2018 Update from the downgrade When I initially had 4.4, streaming audio over bluetooth would just show "Bluetooth Audio" on the screen. Upgrading to 4.6 seemed to solve that and show the actual Artist and Track Name, podcast info, youtube info, etc. After downgrading with the files I posted the link for, it is showing the proper text information on the screen when streaming bluetooth and as mentioned before, my Siri activation via the Home button is working great! Only downside, is the "bluedooth" speech issue, which I don't remember having with my initial version of 4.4.
