Big Stoney
Hello everyone, So I just purchased a 2013 Ford Fusion SE ecoboost about 2 months ago and I absolutely love my car! I do have a issue with using my keyless entry though. The day I purchased my vehicle the car salesman gave me 2 keys and the keyless entry code, I didn’t attempt to use the keyless entry until about a month ago and it did not work. So i called the dealer to see if he had given me the correct code, He explained to me how I can retrieve the factory set code with both of my keys and I do get a factory set code but it does not work. I know the keypad works bc it does lock my doors when I hit the last 2 sets of numbers but that is all. Does anyone know if I’m doing something wrong when I input the code? It’s a great feature and I’d love to utilize this feature. Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to properly use the keypad? Thank you in advance!!
akirby
How do you know the code isn't working? Starting with the doors locked, enter the 5 digit code and then try the door - it should now be unlocked. Don't wait too long between numbers.
Big Stoney
Well i have tried entering the number slow and quick but either way I enter the 5 digit number nothing happens. But I can lock all for doors when I get out of car by pressing the last 2 sets of numbers on the keypad.
akirby
This will sound like a silly question but when you say nothing happens - are you actually trying to open the door after entering the code?
bbf2530
Hi Big Stoney. Let me give it a shot too. Try entering the displayed code backwards. I have heard of instances where the information system/dash display on our Ford/Lincoln vehicles will display the keyless entry code backwards. Let us know if that works.

And thanks for posting back your positive results so this information can help others with the same issue.

Joshs
I have a 10 hybrid I bought with no owners manual or door lock code. My question is do we have access through forscan to 1 retrieve the code 2 reset the code
bangster
Under the dash, above the brake pedal and to the left on the SJB should be a sticker with the 5 digit code. The factory code cannot be changed but you can add personal one(s). I haven't checked to see if it can be done in Forscan, retrieving or switching, but bot should be doable without it (well, setting your own code instead of changing the factory one).
