Hi Fusion Owners,

 

My name is Rafael, and I've recently bought this 2008/2009 Ford Fusion SEL in  São Paulo, Brazil.

My father had a Fusion 2007, and I've loved this car.

So, althought Ford Fusion be a expensive car to maintain for Brazil, I've decided to purchase this car.

 

Anyway, thank you for allowing me to join this community. I'll intend to learn a lot from you.

Welcome! Nice looking car! Good luck with it and hopefully many miles without needing anything. I don't know what would cause it to be an expensive car to maintain in Brazil, not common is all I can guess.

 

While I had my heart set on a 2010-2012 Sport, I widened my search for the earlier ones, which were much cheaper to buy, more of them had the 3.0 V6, but in the end the headlights not being clear and the clear tail lights turned me off.

Fusion in Brazil is like a Luxury Car. My car is year 2008 model 2009 trim SEL l4, and costs to me like USD 7.500,00.

 

 All Fusion 2006-2009 that sells here are SEL, 2.3. Only Sunroof is optional. 

 

In 2010-2012 all Fusion have trim SEL 2.5 l4 or 3.0 V6 and costs USD 8.000,00 ~ 12.500,00.

 

Beside that, the taxs are abusive, the aftermarket parts don't have a good quality, costs more then OEM parts in USA  and the gas 87 octane (E27) costs like USD 4,15 per galon. 

 

Consequently, is not to easy the maintenance of this cars.
