Hello everyone. I recently had a cel with a p051b code. That code is for crankcase pressure sensor. I have checked with every parts house local and online and cant find a listing for the crankcase sensor. Should this sensor be listed as the PCV hose sensor? Im not having any problems at the moment so i was going to replace the sensor on the hopes it is defective. Im leaving on a 600 mile round trip tomorrow evening and would like to replace sensor and reset cel. I have pics of location and close up of sensor im hoping i can get verification i have the correct sensor. Im going to try and get time durring work to call dealer tomorrow but not sure i will get a chance. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks Heath

It's the 1.5 ecoboost and that part I'm holding is the intake pressure sensor the map sensor is held on with a small bolt

Hi Myfusion. Your info states you have a 2017 Fusion. Is it still within the 3 year/36,000 mile Bumper to Bumper Warranty? You may have answered this question previously, but I don't recall.

Edit - Never mind, I checked back and found a previous post where you state you have ~47,000 miles.

Update CEL just turned off! Something I forgot to mention last night while I was taking pictures I noticed that I had forgot to snap the air filter box lid down after I did oil and filter change. It wasn't wide open but probably enough to change the amount of air flow. I wonder if that could have caused the CEL to turn on?

Hopefully that fixes you up, good deal! A lot of people that deal with this code also have to change out the hose as well (or instead of the sensor). I am not sure why when you google the engineering number it comes back as a MAP sensor, but searching for it on a Ford parts site doesn't really come back with anything.

Ya I agree I couldn't find a parts house that actually listed a crankcase pressure sensor anywhere! I pulled a number of the sensor that is on the tube for the turbo and that is where the MAP sensor is located. The crankcase pressure sensor on the escape looks like the one on the fusion that is listed as the PVC hose same kind of connections on both ends. I will let ya know if I have anymore issues or find anymore info on this crankcase pressure sensor.

Hey all, I just had the CEL light come on.  It's that dam P code everyone is getting in their 1.5.  I am wondering if I can replace the Hose with a  JLT 3.0 OIL SEPARATOR for my Fusion since I see them online.  What do you guys think?

thanks steve
