noisuf drof
At what point in 2009 did Ford change the transmissions in the Ford Fusion and is there a way for me to find out? Thanks
bangster
I don't think they ever changed the transmission in 2009. The 3.0 had the AWF21 Aisin transmission from 2006 through 2009, in 2010 it got the 6F35. They show a different engineering number for 2006, 2007, and then 2008 and 2009 are the same (they meaning most parts places and Ford parts places). I don't think 2009 was a mid-year change of anything transmission related.
sirtanon
The transmission change(s) occurred for the 2010 year, alongside the engine lineup change. There was no mid-year change. 2006-2009 Fusions had: 5-speed Mazda G5M manual (I4) 5-speed Mazda FNR5 automatic (I4) 6-speed Aisin TF-80 automatic (V6) .. and then from 2010-2012, they went to: 6-speed Mazda G6M manual (I4) 6-speed Ford 6F35 automatic (I4 & 3.0L V6) 6-speed Aisin TF-80 automatic (3.5L V6) CVT (hybrid)
