DuBz810
I currently have a 2011 sport AWD that is making severe grinding and thump sound while rolling anything over 5mph. Had the complete hub bearing and control arm replaced, now the car is eating tires on the first 2 inches of the inside of both front tires. The grinding mostly stopped but I'm still experiencing the thump / pop sounds when braking or acceleration, sometimes turning at slower speeds or tight corners. Also in related to the hub issue when opening the door getting in or getting out the front drivers side makes a creaking noise with the car lifting or under load. Very annoying sound?? Please help new to awd and fusion, thanks for your time -JT Picture below of replace hub/ control arm assembly
bangster
Not sure if this will help you visualize what the front suspension looks like (you can click it for a higher res version): But was it aligned after replacing the knuckle (spindle)? There is also the arm, the rear control arm, the upper control arm, the strut, a lot of other things going on there. Also this might help, an exploded view: https://www.tascaparts.com/auto-parts/2011/ford/fusion/sport-trim/3-5l-v6-gas-engine/front-suspension-cat/suspension-components-scat
