Kal
My 2016 Fusion is showing a "TPMS sensor fault" issue on the instrument cluster. When I start the car, the error message comes up and then goes away, leaving the TPMS light on the whole time. The tires are inflated to spec 33 PSI. How do I fix this issue?
Linc
I have just experienced this on a 2010 Sport. I was told my sensors were bad, since they are about 9 years old, I said change them all at $3 each. Once that was done the problem got worse and I had additional issues and errors including my interior lights flashing. The dealer told me the computer was stuck in 'learning mode' and that I needed to change the SJB (Smart Junction Box). This is on order now, so we will see. Hope this helps you in some way.

Not sure how you can fix it yourself, other than throwing parts at it. However, is your 2016 Fusion still within the 3 year/36,000 mile Bumper to Bumper Warranty? If it is, make an appointment with the Service Department at your Dealership and let them diagnose and repair it. Keep us updated and good luck.

bangster
Have you added any electronics to the car, as simple as a new phone charger, to a dashboard camera, radar detector, or anything else in the rear view mirror area? I had a cheap USB charger that did this, and a specific car dash cam as well.
sirtanon
I just had to replace one of the TPMS sensors on my 2010 - the passenger rear one - but that was because they are now about 9 years old, and reaching the end of their functional life. The TPMS sensors in your 2016 should still have many years of life left on them. I'd say either one is defective, or something is interfering, as bangster is suggesting. Also, have you had any flats at any time in the past few months, especially if any type of 'fix-a-flat' or other goopy type substance was used? What about potholes or other hard hits?
