Battery Died

The battery on my Ford Fusion Hybrid died... the small one.... and I replaced it.  I expected the radio and clock to be gone but now I start it and it runs a bit and dies.  A message tells me to stop the car safely now.  Has this happened to anyone else?

I have a question regarding using a solar charger to keep the battery charged over extended periods of inactivity such as sitting in an airport car park. Also, must you connect directly to the battery itself or will simply plug it into the outlet inside the car?  This a 2018 model.

I have one and it is pretty handy, but with your 2018 the power points shut off after I think 30/45 minutes, so you would likely have to use the direct to battery clips instead of plugging it into the powerpoint. I am not sure if anyone has decoded the details for the 2018 and figure out how to change that, people have changed that using Forscan or Foccus for 2013 up cars, just not sure about 2018s yet.
