jwf Posted December 27, 2018 Share Posted December 27, 2018 I have a 2011 Fusion Sport with the illuminated Sport sill plate option. The driver side has burned out. How do I replace the bulb? How does the sill plate open up? fusionff Posted December 28, 2018 Share Posted December 28, 2018 (edited) The section of the door sill should simply be removed by prying it up. The section will be held in with clips on each end, and possibly in the middle area too. It will be the whole section that it is attached to, not only the center part that says Fusion. Use interior trim removal tools to avoid damaging (scratching) the plastic piece. Removal will be similar, or exactly, like in the beginning of this video below.
