Mike B
When it's cold outside, maybe 35 degrees and colder I'll get this message after pressing the stop engine button. Sometimes I'll listen to the radio while waiting for someone. This message comes on after 3-4 minutes, but not sure what it means. I've also come out to the car and see it displayed. Doesn't show the message when it's above 35-40 degrees.
bbf2530
Hi Mike. It is normal and usually not something to worry about. It means pretty much what it says: The car is turning off the accessory electrical system to save the battery. The system is sensing the ambient temperature, battery charge, battery drain etc, and putting the car into a low battery drain mode. However, if it is happening often, in warmer weather and even after long drives which would normally charge the battery, mention it next time you have it in for service at your Dealership. Let us know how you make out and good luck.
Mike B
Thanks, I was thinking there was something I needed to do besides pressing the start/stop button. I do have a different issue that I'm going to ask the dealer on its next service.
