Steeda CAI for 10-12 Fusion Sport

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I decided to remove the Steeda CAI on my 2010 Fusion Sport as I am giving the car to my wife (I ordered a 19 Mustang GT Premium).  I have the original box and all original part and accessories for the install.  I will also include filter cleaner and oil.  I would say the intake has about 25,000 miles on it and I cleaned it once/year.  Looking for $250 shipped (lower 48 states) OBO.  PM me for any questions.

Thanks
Greg

Would this not be more of a WARM air intake?  It looks like the intake remains inside the engine bay.

Sorry I never got an email you replied. I think what makes it cold is the fact there is a heat shield. But this is a much larger debate. There’s no question though that Steeda makes great product.

Yes great marketing of a product that does not provide any benefits to Fusion owners.

It's been on the market for two years.. At this point the these being active if better than being buried in the sale section.

I wasn't trying to be that guy I just hate how it's marketed as CAI.. it's not ...

I hope he gets his $259 for it... If he does send the guy my way I have a "chip" I'd like to sell him... Easily adds 5hp...

The fact that it has a cone filter, which is way less restrictive will have more a benefit than the "seal" it makes.  Unless it's a heat shield made by NASA or he is rolling around without a headlight that heat shield is straight snake oil.  Sure it keeps it a bit cooler but i would be interested to seat a heat map with and without it on.

Most CAI don't add any benefits unless you increase the tube diameter over stock and tune.  I can tell you this one will make the car sound throaty, so it will add sound to it.  Even on my new car (19 Mustang GT), the CAI is basically worthless unless you tune the car.
