2017 floor mats. What’s everyone got or love?

Recommended Posts

I just bought the Kagu 3D Maxpider front and back floor mats for my fusion. I have the mats but my car is being delivered today. I won’t see it until sat. As I live in Cali and it’s shipping to Vegas.  What floor mats do you guys have and or love? Here are photos of the mats. If they fit well they are sleek!

Hi Sue.  I realize you have only had them in for less than a day, but how do you like the fit and appearance?

Oh, sorry, a few more questions. Do they use the factory attachments? What material are they constructed from? Are they waterproof?

Good luck.

Those look really nice, and they seem to fit very well.

Personally, I'm happy with the stock mats in my Fusion, but then again, I live in Phoenix, where rain is extremely rare, and snow is virtually non-existent, so stock mats work fine.   I just take them out and give them a thorough scrub and hose-down rinse once a year, and then leave them to dry in the sun for 30 minutes.

I love them so far. I work around horses for a living so wanted something easily cleaned but looked classy, and provided good protection. These do all

of that. Driver side completely covers the dead petal which I love. I damp cloth wipes them down

or if Spike’s bad, hose them off  they are 100% waterproof. The bottom is a Velcro feelimg material that fingers down into the carpet so these things are solid! No sliding at all. The driver side does snap into the factory clips no problem. I highly recommend them. I even found these on Amazon. The actual company was out of stock until mid March.

I also have the Husky mats, just got them for my 2014 Fusion SE.  Got the cargo mat for the trunk as well.

I live in the desert.  It's nice that I can simply dump out the mats now and then, to get rid of the buildup of dust and sand, rather than having to vacuum or shampoo stuff out of the carpet.

I chose the Tan color to match the upholstery, vs. black.  Nothing really wrong with either color, but I felt the black mats (though matching the car's carpet) would have shown dust more easily and thus always would look dirty.

It was tough to choose among Husky, Weathertech, and the 3D Maxpider floor mats.  I don't think any of them would be a bad choice.  However, 3D Maxpider doesn't offer a trunk mat for the Fusion.

No one offered any really good floor mats for my old car, a Mercury Grand Marquis.  The best I could find were Lloyd's, and they weren't great.

Lurker for awhile but had to sign up to post this.  I read the thread and was very interested in getting the front row 3D MAXpider because I usually don't have anyone in the back.  When looking at them on Amazon, the front row is $83.51 but when I clicked on the "complete set" of front and rear the price was also $83.51.  Somebody made a price error and I ordered them right away.  I double checked the cart saying it was the complete set and it is.  Hopefully they don't notice and cancel the order.

I got a chance to look at some Weathertech floor mats next to my Husky Weatherbeaters.  Other car was a Toyota Rav4.

They're not hugely different.  The Weathertechs have an actual clip thing that engages the hardware on the driver's side in the Toyota.  Not sure whether that is a Weathertech thing or specific to the mats for that vehicle.  My Husky mats just have a bump over the floor hardware on driver's side.

Doesn't seem to matter.  The Huskies are staying in place well.  Now that they've been in the car a few weeks, they're conforming better to the floor shape.  The creases from being packed in boxes for shipping - more an issue on the trunk liner than the interior mats - are pretty much gone.

These Husky Weatherbeaters are much better than the Lloyd mats that were all I could find for my previous car (Mercury Grand Marquis).  The Lloyd mats didn't protect anything but the carpet directly below one's feet.  They didn't have lips, so did nothing to contain dirt or water.
