Mike B
Heated the exterior door handles to melt ice build up. Used the Ford Pass App to start the car a couple weeks ago when it was freezing rain here. Went out to the car and the door handles were iced over almost to the point they were hard to open. What else should Ford have done???
drolds1
What would suggest they do? AFAIK, there's no car available with heated door handles at any price. You're still better off than Tesla owners with the flush door handles When those freeze, they've got a real problem.
Mike B
I'm not sure if it's possible to have heated door handles. Just one of those fleeting thoughts I had when the door handles were ice covered.
Harvestman
They definitely should have used a different OEM for the 6-disc CD changer in the first-generation models. What a headache!
Ponyguy
Ford should have left well enough alone... or even simply "maintained their excellence." The latest Fusions (2019 & 2020) have had so many "surprises and delights' deleted from the otherwise wonderful sedan. The 2018 Platinum edition seems to me to be the epitome of the Fusion... the nicely trimmed interior with those Bentley-esque creamy white quilted leather seats, power-tile & telescope steering column (with memory), and a bunch of other small, but noticeable features have all been quietly eliminated from the Fusion feature list... to the marque's detriment.

Jim Hackett is on a mission to achieve 10% profitability overall (when most other manufacturers are happy with 5-7%), SOOO that means decontenting and raising prices. Just what Ms. Barra over at GM did and then after several years, realized that it doesn't work that way. I just can't believe that Ford stockholders and the Ford family put up with this guy. Oh, except for Billy Boy. He thinks of Hackett as his buddy and playtoy. Insanity.
AlmaTheYounger
Ford should have kept making the Fusion
