DavesintheCave
Hi All, New to the forum I have a 2007 Ford Fusion SE 3.0 V6. Symptoms Rough idle, misfires on cylinder 4,5,6, throws codes p0300, p0304, p0305, p0306. I have checked COP's they seem fine. Spark plugs have good gap. Catalytic converter is in working order. The PCV vlave looks to be letting a lot of oil into the intake I plan on replacing that soon, but I still do not think that is the main culprit . Drives down the road well but when you let off the gas to idle she starts to misfire. I work on all my vehicles but this one has me boggled. Any info would greatly be appreciated.
bangster
Doesn't sound like the usual Fusion/Escape 3.0 PCM getting fried from a bad coil (it is usually a more specific failure code, P035x). Other than the wiring itself, there is nothing electrical that is bank1 and bank2, so other than looking for a wiring harness issue (but still would likely be P035x codes) going to the front cylinders, I would guess this is mechanical, and you might need to do a cylinder compression test.
bangster
Not sure what fuel wise could cause an issue on one bank only, as with the COPs they each have a trigger from the PCM and a common (COP have a common power, injectors have a common ground), I don't think that half the fuel line could be somehow clogged, and I am not sure if VVT issues would show up in a compression check.

DavesintheCave
I did a compression test on the front cylinders 4,5,6 all were 140 to 150 psi which should be plenty fine. Did some looking around possible a bad Variable camshaft timing solenoid? What gets me is when you first fire it up it revs up like normal then after its 3-5 second settle down it starts to misfire.
