WKelley
Unfortunately you'll need it to be looked at by someone who can get in and scan it and see what is going on.
FordFusionNH2010
Hi, I’ve done the “configure battery age” process several times. But it never seems to stick. I go through the forscan process, as I’ve seen on other forums. I believe I’m doing it correctly. But after I drive the vehicle for a while, and then check the BECM configuration, it has reverted back to “incorrect value or not configured”. And while the vehicle drives pretty well, I’m definitely not getting the full hybrid effect. Currently my avg mpg is 32.4. Thanks for any tips! The photos show the log after successfully performing the becm configure. But then after driving it for a while, it resets. 2. 2.
ChinookBoy
In response to FordFusionNH2010. I just did the procedure as well and got it to work. I will provide an update if I run into the same issue as you. One thing that you might want to check on: After writing the change did you stop the process? In the second-to-last picture above, your mouse is actually hovering over the stop button; did you press it? I pressed the stop button after the write function was done, then followed the instructions to disconnect FORScan from my car, shut down the application, unplug the OBDII, and finally cycle the car off and on. The unplug option didn't work if I hadn't pressed the stop button first. I'm asking because maybe the reason the change isn't sticking is because the blocks weren't shut down properly and maybe the variable change is lost. I just went for a spin around the block and for the first time in five years I was able to do it all on electronic only. So cool! I only change the battery age variable and nothing else. Let's see how things work over the next couple of days. Cheers! Edited March 12 by ChinookBoy Provide more explanation
