andyross
Quote Ford Motor Co. knowingly launched two low-priced, fuel-efficient cars with defective transmissions and continued selling the troubled Focus and Fiesta despite thousands of complaints and an avalanche of repairs, a Free Press investigation found. https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/2019/07/11/ford-focus-fiesta-transmission-defect/1701433001/
bangster
Over the years it has had its share of issues, I drove a number of them trying to find one for my daughter, a few had some of the work done (new discs from oil leaks), TCM reprogramming, TCM replacement, and even if I reset them and had them long enough to relearn, they still had some shady low speed (parking lot, creeping, taking off) issues. I drove a few that didn't, but decided on the Fusion instead for a few hundred more.
carlfs
I think they have the dual clutch system in place of a torque converter. I had a 2020 Escape as a loaner and I could tell it was one of those. It shifted fine but you felt a slight delay when starting from a stop.

It uses the same 8f35 as the Edge and Nautilus with a torque converter. No more fwd dual clutch trannies in the US.
