Brutius
I have a 2018 Ford fusion titanium and I was wondering if anybody knew which fuse I could piggyback to to run my dashcam
bangster
I take it you only need one that is hot in run? I like to find one that is not in use, like fuse 1 for panoramic moonroof, which should be switched. Also there are quite a few that are marked as "Not Used/Spare" you can put a meter on those if there is a fuse or if the slot is even wired up, to see if it is powered, and if switched or not. The power points are a delayed (unless 120v) power off if you want dash cam and it to record a little longer after you shut off the car.

FusionBerry
Facing this issue with my 2014 right now. My main gripe with dashcam install is that access to the fuse panel is...well, painful! I don't have a moonroof/sunroof, so I'll probably use that one for my switched source.
FusionBerry
Halfway through installing the hardwire power harness for the dashcam. Some thoughts: If you use fuse taps, a lot of the micro fuses on the right won't work, because the fuse tap holder gets in the way. The fuses marked "Spare" in the owner's manual are unpowered (so far), so those slots are out too. Moonroof slot doesn't work. I don't have one, so apparently there's not a complete circuit. No power on that slot, either without or with key on.
FusionBerry
OK, got it worked out. FWIW this video from the UK is pretty helpful. While a 2017 Mondeo isn't exactly the same, it seems to share the fuse panel layout of my 2014 Fusion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiRtl864Y7Y There is exactly one switched circuit to be found in the panel, helpfully marked "Delayed Accessory" (#23, 10A). For grounding, I'll probably use the same bolt as the grounding strap you can see as soon as you get the under-dash panel open. Photo later to illustrate. FusionBerry
FWIW, one of the fuses that's marked "Unused - Spare" in the owner's manual, is not in fact an unused spare. I didn't bother figuring out exactly which one it was, but when I pulled one of either the 5A or 10A "spare" fuses, my trunk stopped opening. I mean in the sense that the trunk release mechanism wasn't getting any power. Pressing trunk release either on the remote or dash only made the turn signal repeaters both blink in the forlorn "something's broken, boss!" mode. I replaced both supposedly "spare" fuses and bought some actual spares. Forward dashcam is now up and running.
