Cslater484
Searched many pages couldn't find anything. My 2012 fusion sel has the black bump pattern going around the outside of the rear window. When tinting over them you see a ring white circle because i just can't get the tint to fill around the bump. Maybe some type of window tint primer? Maybe the tint is too thick to fill the bumps? Was thinking of doing something like plastic dip or black hot glue something that could be peeled off instead of some kind of paint that will need a bunch of work to remove. I tried black construction paper I didn't like it. Didn't match the tint. Any ideas? Thanks Edited November 18, 2019 by Cslater484

bangster
I have thin white circles around each dot in the matrix, but you have to be within inches of the window to see them, the tint is against the glass between the dots, not for a thin border around the dots. For me it looks more than acceptable, I had to get within a few inches of it to see the thin white lines.
Cslater484
O . I tried and didn't like it. I could see them from a good distance away.

Good luck. Thanks. Maybe vinyl will work. Should be around the same thickness I would think so I wouldn't think it would work better. I may just look for the thinnest tint, I think reg non stactic Kling tint is thinner than the static Kling stuff. May just try the regular and find some kind of a cone shaped item the size of the dots and force the air out somehow maybe with heat. I'll try some stuff this summer 2020.Thanks all.
eGuru
If the appearance is really bothering you: - pin-prick the film at each of the matrix dots; - use a hair dryer to heat the film; - use a 3" wide rubber laminate roller to expel the trapped air;

drolds1
I read of one case in which the tinter shaved off the dots with a razor blade.
