2009 Fusion Audiophile sound rear speakers

Audiophile was the name brand of the company that did the 8 speaker system. I don't quite understand how they say 8 speakers but all configurations I see are 9 or 12.

Rear deck is only subs (3?), then front and rear door mids, and front door tweeters (for 9?). I don't know if you have the CSA THX mids and center or not, that would be 12 speakers...

I also think that the amps are split left and right (so all left side speakers are on one amp, same for right). The center sub is on the right amp, the center CSA is on the left amp.

Audiophile is just a Ford trim name.  The mfr was either pioneer or Clarion.

The rear deck speakers are subwoofers.  Each door speaker is a 2 way speaker so Ford counts that as 2 separate speakers.  Some models had a center speaker on the dash.

Audiophile is the registered name of the company that did the system (hardware, or design), were they somehow related to another company like Clarion...I don't have a clue.

It is possible the door speakers are 2 way, they didn't seem like it when I saw some in the junk yard, but I really wasn't paying that much attention.

And this might not be a THX system with 3 subs and the front/center channels either, not sure that might be the Lincoln setup (like it is for Gen 1.5).

Interesting.  It’s such a common term I just assumed it was a Ford thing.

Thank you all,  seems like bass only is the way the rear deck speakers should be.  Used to put together my own vehicle sound systems but that was back in the mid 70's and 80's.  Typically a Pioneer receiver / cassette deck with an underdash equalizer / booster with Jensen coaxials up front and 6x9 triaxials in the rear.  Not as easy or necessary today.

Yes, different than the 1.5 Premium sound. It is 8 speakers; 2 subs in rear deck (subs), speakers in all 4 doors (these do seem to be 2 way), and high mount tweeters in the front doors.

The Lincoln adds the THX center sub in the rear and CSA front left/right/center speakers.

I assume the 2006-2009 Audiophile is different than the Sony in the 2010-2012? In the Sony, the two rear-outer speakers are woofers, and the center is a rear surround.

Completely different system 2010 to 12 have Sony speaker it’s similar set up to thx but speaker are blue polymer plastic speaker and 06 to 09 have 8 speaker 2 front door tweeter 2 front door single bass woofer and rear doors are single mid sound woofer and rear are just optional 6x9 subwoofer for bass and amp is pretty smalll and only power deck subwoofer while Sony amp is incredibly huge size amp that powers all the 12 speaker in newer fusion
